So much questionable stuff there, not in the archaeological data but in the way the researchers talk about it. Multiple statements betraying the odd bias against IR HGs that seems to be common in a certain vein of thought about indigenous land management practices.

This one's a whopper: "Once you start calling someone a hunter-gatherer there's something implied ... about not really being connected to the land or sea and not needing much from it," she said.
