All right, so I know the documentary format is slightly antithetical to the primitivist outlook, but I'm interested in the format for a few reasons, one of which is that I'm educated in digital media. I daydream about creating stuff with a green anarchist message. So, with that in mind, can anyone recommend documentaries focusing on green anarchist subject matters, especially anthropology, that aren't total shit? Someone recommended "First Peoples" by PBS to me, and it was pretty bad--at least, the episode I saw was. At the very least it wasn't really what I wanted.
Part of my situation is that my significant other is suffering from lyme disease and can't expend all that much energy out and about, so we end up watching a lot of stuff together. It would be great to make the most of that time.

Try these... The Great Dance: A Hunter's Story. It's about the "hunt by running" among the Ju/’hoansi. (The San in the Kalahari.) Hadza: Last of the First. Haven't yet seen it, but hear it's pretty good. Not a documentary, but try Ten Canoes. A story set in a hunter-gatherer society in Australia. Beautiful cinematography. Oh, this one too, on the Baka in central Africa: www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnYMtNL9YvU

Boxcar, though not a video what that brings to mind is the book "Born to Run." It involves someone getting the chance to run with the Tarahumara in Mexico. I haven't read it, but I know it's a major favorite among serious runners, often the book they mention as their favorite ever. Ah, it looks like they're planning a fictionalized movie version: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Born_to_Run:_A_Hidden_Tribe,_Superathletes,_and_the_Greatest_Race_the_World_Has_Never_Seen

Ah Thank you! I think I heard him Talking about it on Radio. To me the Take Away was "They Refuse To Acknowledge Gringos". Primitive People who considered Civilised People beneath their contempt. What the Radio is saying today, Veterin's Day, where Good Solders fought & killed to Bring Democracy and Freedom to people. The fact that People Resist our colonisation (that's all civilisation is) and Fight our Wars of Occupation never fazes the Bovine mentality.
I loved that story, even though I cannot remember how I heard it, I shall go to Links now! Happy Day!

In the award winning documentary GOSHEN Film (2015) the Tarahumara traditional diet is examined through interviews with Dr. William Connors clinical dietary research experts. Their traditional diet composition was found to be linked to their low incidence of diseases such as Type 2 Diabetes. However, the Tarahumara's health is transitioning in regions where processed goods have began to replace their traditional staples.
