Ohio Wild Living is celebrating Summer Solstice (June 20th and 21st) @ Tar Hollow State Park, just over an hour from Columbus.
During the day we will share a few wilderness crafts and skills, perhaps do a little paddle boating or canoeing then hike to the Fire Tower in Tar Hollow State Forest and back.
During the night, we will have a fire and tiki torches, then enjoy a cook out and festivities.
What to bring: The camping gear you feel most comfortable with as well as any food and beverages you'd like to potluck. For the skillshares we have limited supplies, so it helps to bring a knife for shaving wood and a queen sized blanket/sheet for hammock building (we'll provide anything else). For questions about gear, food or anything else, message me through the forum or reply to this thread.
This is posted here in case anyone from outside Columbus wanted to share in our celebration and/or wanted to share in learning skills with us. Also posted to show our approach to activity for the curious.
